The Nene Trekkers.

 

 

We are a small, friendly Northampton based walking group who would welcome new members.

Whether you’re an old hand or a complete beginner, we can help you get the best out of walking.

 

 

Our programme of walks is:

• Day or half-day (figure of 8) walk, usually within Northamptonshire, on the first Saturday of each month. A typical walk would consist of a 6-mile walk in the morning, and a 5-mile walk in the afternoon. This format gives the option of a morning, an afternoon, or a full days walk.
• 3 walking weekend trips per year. We usually use National Trust Basecamps, these provide good accommodation at a reasonable cost.
• Local evening walks in summer.
• Occasional social events, e.g. brewery trips, visits to NT properties, meals.  

 

The weekend walks for 2012 are:

 

 

Friday June the 22nd for 3 nights - Hardingsdown Bunkhouse, The Gower.

 

Friday October 5th for 3 nights - Ashridge, Berkhampstead 

 

The next day walk is on Saturday 14th April. Meet at the White Hart pub in Hackleton for a 10:000 am start. The morning walk will be 7 miles. We will have lunch at the pub, then have an afternoon walk of 5 miles, starting at 2:00pm.
